I will be making an appearance at the Decatur Book Festival on Sept. 6th, 1:30. I am sure the day will be outrageously hot~ just what I'll need~...

The stocks are full, and we have 13 gallons being bottled this weekend.

The merchant is sending me 6 cases of bottles that will be quickly filled. There are three more batches working well and expected to be ready to bottle within a month~

Roman Daze Meadery is happening~

The latest creation~ Cherry Melomel- has been a hit with everyone~ We are working on a standard strength for the next batch.

A local Pub is going to sponsor the next mead classes~ I am looking forward to seeing that develop~!

The Ceylon metheglin is done...

18% and rockin'~! working on a name now before bottling...

'Cylon Attack'is the forerunner...

The recent tank of Cyser is also just about done now...I am waiting for it to start settling...it is 15.5% or so...finished up with the bulk of fermenting in 2 weeks~! Man...have I got a process now~!

To be able to mix, ferment and bottle a batch in a month is exceptional!

One could get used to this...now you may ask...do I need help drinking it~?

Welllll....yes...I don't think I can drink it as fast as I am making it now...isn't that good news~?!

Finally~

We have a place to begin the fencing classes again. Will start with beginners fencing...work up thru advanced intermediate classes and then work on dueling skills~!

If I have any takers...I'll also offer European Martial Arts...Sword and Shield, Single Sword, etc...

This has great potential~!

I have struck upon an amazing process~ that's all I can say...

This last batch of mead I have made has processed out 14% alcohol in just 8 days~!

I have NEVER had such a fast moving primary fermentation...and MAN does it taste Goooood~!

I made 1/2 gallon of Black Cherry and Sour Cherry melomel tonight and will be taking it on the road trip tomorrow. this will be a fun trip to Orlando for Micheal's bachelor party~

I currently have 3 gallons of metheglin to bottle that I have been experimenting with, 7 gallons of Ceylon cherry metheglin just about done and 5 gallons of Cyser just finishing...Bottles....Now the issue will be BOTTLES~!

At long last...dusted off one of my more easily enjoyable games and have been playing some Shogi with Dewabbit~

Granted...I do give her a two piece handicap, but she is coming along and learning the game very well...actually beat me 3 games the other night (...or so she says...my count was 2 but whose counting anyway...LOL)

Have a good supply of Cherry mead on hand...it ROCKS~!

I don't think I am as fond of the sour cherry as I am of the Black Cherry...

The way I see it, 2012 is more than an imaginary endpoint for humanity.

The latest world news rather apparently points to things not being what they should be. Or rather perhaps EXACTLY as they should be~

There was a recent election in Iran that has caused millions to riot in the streets claiming election tampering and voter fraud. The administration takes the time to go to Russia while the pronouncement is for all foreign news agents to leave the country. 7 dead in riots. The actual rulers of the country dictating foreign policy and internal affairs are the clerics~ let's see what they say~ Now voter fraud and election tampering in America is one thing...but for it to have occurred so obviously in Iran and we actually HEAR ABOUT IT is rather remarkable. Sounds to me like the people of Iran actually have sense and reason and are about to claim liberty from a dictatorship run amok~ this will portent great things to change in the middle east~ watch and see...

Astronomers are watching Betelgeuse closely. Appears that over the last 2 years it has collapsed some 15% of its size. This likely indicates a Supernova is eminent.

What makes this interesting is the fact that a visionary from Medjugorje, Marija Lunetti, is coming to Caritas, Alabama for what is said to be the some of the last apparitions of Mary Queen of Heaven. During these latest coming apparitions, Mary is said to be revealing one of the three mysteries that have been recorded some 40 years ago and given to the Pope for world wide disemanation. She has said the mystery involves a sign in the heavens that will be perpetual and visible to all the Earth. It is also one of the last signs before the return of the King, and I'm not talking about Tolkien's storyline here...

yes....interesting times...I wouldn't want to be anywhere else to see it coming about either~!

Tomorrow night is yet another Merry Ol' Mead Making Class...this one highlights Cyser.

We will have door prizes, plenty of samples of my locally acclaimed 'Killers Sister' and we will make a batch to boot~!

All the students attending will receive their bottles of mead and metheglin from the previous classes as the batches are done...

As for me...

Tonight will be a Cherry of an evening...My favorite lady and I will be brewing up some Cherry mead and we have a pretty good start on a recipe. I tried out two gallons of it last weekend and some 40 people raved about it before they individually passed out~!
